Line, Vine, & Dine emeril lagasse foundation fundraiser 2024

Established in 2002 by Chef Emeril Lagasse and Alden Lagasse, the Emeril Lagasse Foundation operates as a 501c(3) public charity based in New Orleans. With a core mission to inspire, mentor, and empower youth to realize their full potential, the foundation implements various programs to support thousands of young individuals annually.

These initiatives include the Community Grants program, Emeril’s Culinary Garden & Teaching Kitchen, and the Aaron Sanchez Impact Fund. The Community Grants program specifically offers program and capital support to nonprofit organizations in the foundation’s local communities. Examples of funded projects encompass the creation of an accessible learning kitchen for students with special needs at St. Michael Special School, a four-year culinary arts program for high school students at New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts, and the Emeril Lagasse Foundation Hospitality Center at Café Reconcile, providing life skills and job training for opportunity youth.

Raising funds plays a pivotal role in the Foundation’s endeavors and is integral to accomplishing its mission. Support for the Foundation’s programs comes from individual and corporate donations, along with participation in annual fundraising Notably, the Line, Vine & Dine stands out among these events—an engaging weekend fishing tournament in Fort Lauderdale that occurs each spring.

Worth Avenue Yachts is honored to continue its collaboration with the Emeril Lagasse Foundation for this year’s charity event. This meaningful partnership was established in 2018, coinciding with the early years of the signature charity sailfish tournament Line, Vine & Dine in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Over the years, Worth Avenue Yachts and the Foundation have joined forces to curate distinctive experiences for attendees across the three-day event. The collaboration extends exclusively to the Dockside Weigh-in and Yacht Hop event, a highlight hosted annually at Pier Sixty-Six Marina. This year the yachts on display will be GG 88’ Ocean Alexander, WORTHY 85’ Burger, CATCH 87’ Feadship, and BEYOND BEYOND 94’ Riva.

Our team here at Worth Avenue Yachts has decided to become even more involved by participating in the fishing tournament this year. Keep an eye out for our all-female fishing team, named the “Worthy Catch” in the hopes of only catching Tuna, Wahoo, and Mahi. As our relationship with the Foundation strengthens, Worth Avenue Yachts is thrilled to unveil an exciting initiative: a percentage of sales and charters arranged through Foundation referrals will be dedicated to contributing back.

Brian Tansey and Michael Mahan, co-owners of Worth Avenue Yachts, have shared their enthusiasm, expressing, “Worth Avenue Yachts is delighted to collaborate with the Foundation, encouraging clients and benefactors to allocate a portion of their charter vacation budget to support the Foundation,” says Brian. Michael adds, “There is such confidence when we work with the Foundation team. We are all on the same page, and they make the relationship fun and easy.”

Moreover, Worth Avenue Yachts is steadfast in supporting Line, Vine & Dine and local beneficiaries, extending our commitment beyond the Yacht Hop. We actively contribute during live auctions and various Foundation events throughout the year. We are excited for the growth of this foundation and look forward to future fundraising events with the Emeril Lagasse Foundation.

Teaming up with Black Sheep Tequila, our auction donation for Line, Vine, and Dine is a glamorous sunset dining experience for 10 guests aboard one of our yachts. Black Sheep Tequila will pair their expertly crafted tequilas for a paired tasting along with some local cuisine. To end the night, there will be musical entertainment from a surprise Nashville singer and songwriter.

Partners

At our company, we take pride in the relationships we have built with our partners. Worth Avenue Yachts regularly work with a number of partner companies to enhance our client experience. We are so thankful for the wonderful people and organizations we have partnered with over the years. The 2024 Line Vine and Dine fundraising event would not be the same without the influence of these partners.
