Worth Sells 2 x 40m Westports

The yacht market activity is up as sales of 100’+ (30m+) yachts continue at a brisk pace, in concurrence with a robust amount of new build sales. According to Boat International, 2017 sales for all “superyachts” (24m/78’+) including sailing vessels, stood at 435 vessels, the highest since the “global meltdown” of 2008. Of these 435 vessels, there were 243 motor yachts of 100’+ sold, yielding over a 10% increase from 2016. The 130′ Westport Yacht ALICE’S RESTAURANT closed on January 31st. Sold by Andre Bouse and Chris June of Worth Avenue Yachts, this 2011 Westport yacht was one of 2 deals closed. With an increase in activity in Europe and especially from Russian buyers, there are signs of a decreased inventory in late model motoryachts and corresponding price increases.
