Necker Island is a 74-acre island full of tropical lush landscape and surrounded by warm turquoise waters. Located in the North Sound of the British Virgin Islands, Necker Island was originally designed to be Sir Richard Branson’s private island paradise and now can accommodate 48 guests across 24 guest rooms. There are 11 bedrooms in the Great House and 10 individual Bali Houses scattered around the island. The island is surrounded by coral reefs and covered with beautiful white sandy beaches, making it the perfect playground to explore during a yacht charter.

Arrive via plane to Beef Island international airport in Tortola. Here you can take your private yacht to Necker Island, which is 30 minutes from Tortola. Once you arrive at the island, you will find many activities to enjoy. On land, ­there is a spa and gym as well as 4 infinity pools on the island with a couple having swim-up bars. Some outdoor activities include yoga, tennis, and an island walk. The island walk is a must, as there are several trails on the island that will take you around the coast or over the main ridge to enjoy a breathtaking view. Enjoy a guided tour to learn more about the history of Necker Island and some of the best spots to enjoy on the trail. Last but certainly not least, Necker Island is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Enjoy the warm turquoise waters and fine white sand that the Caribbean is known for. Main Beach is where most of our water activities are based, while Turtle Beach is a more peaceful area where you can go to enjoy the sound of the waves.

Adventure Awaits

Necker Island is full of many other activities to enjoy on the water. These include kite surfing, waterskiing, sailing, and paddleboarding. If you’re feeling adventurous and want to check out the beautiful marine life that Necker has to offer, both Turtle and Main Beach are great places to snorkel. For those who want to venture further, you can take a boat to the many coral reefs that surround the island. The waters of the British Virgin Islands are also home to great scuba diving areas where you can discover historic shipwrecks, reefs, and the vast marine life of the British Virgin Islands.

Another key highlight of Necker Island is the food and drinks, which are fully inclusive. Dining can be formal or informal, inside or out, themed or traditional. Some options include relaxed lunches on Turtle Beach and romantic dinners on the Great House roof terrace. There is even a floating sushi bar in the beach pool! Necker Island is also the perfect place to say, “I do”, as the island can host up to 200 people for your special day. From fireworks to hundreds of balloons, Necker Island can tailor your celebration to whatever you desire. Finally, Necker Island is very family-friendly, as there are plenty of things for children to do as well. This includes treasure hunts, feeding the lemurs, splashing around with inflatables before enjoying a pirate party on the sand.
