    He started his seaman career as skipper and sailing instructor in small sailing boats on daily and weekly charters. After very busy seasons he gained a lot of experience on different sailing and also motor boats chartering in the Adriatic sea. He continued his professional career on bigger sailing yachts - from 20 to 40 meters - in the Mediterranean sea. This provided him with the necessary experience and preparation for a very demanding crossing of the Atlantic ocean from the Mediterranean to South America and back with S/Y ELLEN.

    Nathan Marx

    Deckhand

    Nathan was born in Zaf, South Africa, in 1997. Nathan started his maritime career as dayworker and temporary deckhand on small yachts in Mediterranean sea. This helped him gain enough knowledge and experience to search for a job on a bigger yachts. His passion and determination led him to a position of deckhand on large sailing yacht such as which requires hard and demanding work day and night. Nathan constantly proves himself as an excellent, hard working and reliable crew member ready for any kind of challenge.

    Montana Diedrick

    Stewardess

    Montana was born in St.Johns, lsland of Antigua, Antigua&Barbuda in 1997. Montana started her career in the hospitality industry in a very busy hotel in English Harbour, Antigua, first as a hotel concierge and then as manager. Her experience in hospitality has given her strong organization, multitasking and fine dinning skills which help deliver a high end quality experience for guests. Her hospitality background gave her advantage to start to work on large luxury yachts and she perfectly integrates with other crew members and proficiently interacts with the guests during charters. Also, she proved herself as a hard working and reliable sailor on a demanding and exhausting ocean crossing.

    Giorgio Rocchi

    Chef

    Giorgio was born in Rome, Italy in 1971. His passion for cooking and desire to explore the art of taste led him to culinary school. He has 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry and knowledge not only of Italian and Mediterranean cuisine but also International, Caribbean, Thai, Mexican and Japanese cuisine. He is a culinary trained Italian "Hands-on Chef" with an extensive international experience who still feels motivation to seek new projects and embrace the challenges they provide. Giorgio proved himself as good and reliable crew member following two ocean crossings and cooking for the crew every day in hard conditions of rough sea and bad weather. During the charters he gets only best ratings from satisfied guests.

    Alessio Lorenzi

    Chief Engineer

    Alessio was born in Sanremo, Italy, in 1997. When just a teenager Alessio showed a keen interest in the world of engines and after middle school, in order to deepen his passion, attended a mechanical school where be built a solid knowledge. During those years, Alessio strengthened his abilities by doing an internship at a local shipyard as boat mechanic. In the summer before his graduation, Alessio got recruited and sailed for the first time. After graduating in 2016 Alessio worked as second engineer on the M/Y Another One (Fincantieri 46m) until 2019. Then, he moved to Australia for a year, where he was employed as boat keeper around the country. From 2020 to 2022 Alessio was the chief engineer on the S/Y Principessa VaiVia (Perini Navi 40m), before becoming the chief engineer on S/Y Ellen. Alessio is a universal technician and can be useful in any position on the boat; he has the precious ability to resolve any kind of technical problem and his multitasking skills make him a valuable worker, especially during the charter period, when he can take the guests wherever they want to with the boat tender.
