CAREER OVERVIEW Full time captain offering many years of experience. I currently captain/manage three vessels here in Ft. Lauderdale fitting in deliveries/charters as schedules permit. LICENSE • U.S.C.G. 70 Ton License for both power and sail. • Unlimited Radar Observer. • STCW-95, BST. • HELM (Human Element Leadership & Management) • Bridge Procedures. • Assisted Towing. • TWIC card. • Marine Radio Operator’s Permit. Very much a Hands-on captain with good engineering, paint, varnish and electrical knowledge. Arneson, Zeus and IPS drive experience. BOATING EXPERIENCE • 8+ years as a Full Time/Delivery/Charter Captain. Deliveries included moving boats between the Caribbean, Florida, Bahamas, Bermuda, New England, ICW, Erie Barge Canal, Canada, Panama Canal, Mississippi, Tennessee, Okeechobee Waterway, and the Great Lakes. Handling boats up to 98’, both power and sail. Offshore deliveries up to 14 days. Operator of busy charter programs in Ft Lauderdale and Bahamas. STCW 95 and Sliver Service from ICT HELM course from MPT Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management from Hillsborough Community Proficient in Vegan, Vegetarian, Paleo, Gluten free and many other specialty cuisines CHARTER EXPERIENCE Aside from my galley skills, entertaining, maintaining the interior, planning itineraries, booking dockage and excursions, and putting on parties for 2 to 60 people on board. One of the most exciting and interesting parts of my career in yachting has been my ability to be involved and coordinate several over the top events, parties, proposals, and surprises for my guests. I am proficient in small craft handling, line handling, provisioning, provisioning in exotic locations, navigation of the waters of the Great Lakes, New England, Bahamas, South Florida, and the Caribbean. PERSONAL INTERESTS I am a keen diver and have dived throughout the Caribbean and the United States. As a true water baby, I enjoy swimming and like nothing more than a day at the beach or out boating. I always seek to further my knowledge of food and continually try new dishes and recipes whether through experiencing local culture or reading up on different styles of cooking. My enjoyment of food and culture has helped me expand my culinary knowledge and given me a good foundation in many styles of cooking. As evident throughout my career, one of my other passions is a love of music; I have a varied taste and appreciation for many genres.
