Captain

Charles the larger than life English Captain, began his yachting career, starting as a deckhand on a sailboat in the Mediterranean, quickly realizing the error of his ways he switched over to the more glamorous world of motor yachts, lol, working on yachts up to 245 feet. Now with a career of over more than 30 years Charles has Captained private and charter yachts from the Mediterranean to the Caribbean and even as far afield as Alaska and Dubai. Charles is very passionate about his job and likes to ensure that his guests have the very best cruising experience, and will go above and beyond to accommodate guests wishes.

Gerhardt Swart

Engineer

Gerhardt lives in picturesque Hermanus in South Africa, which is world renowned for its whale watching. Born and raised on the Western Cape with his roots in small towns and farms. Gerhardt started his career doing hydrographic surveying and exploration, and he has been part of several new build yacht projects in the last six years. His qualifications as an Engineer are impressive, and valid. An avid diver and a keen interest in the eco system that our planet relies upon.

Francois Von Hoogstraten

1st Officer

Francois grew up in a small coastal town in South Africa. He left in 2002 to travel, and needed up living in New Zealand for eight years, where he worked in the medical field. He has five years experience in the yachting industry and has worked on a range of boats up to 240 feet, he has been working and studying to complete his officer courses. A keen surfer, enjoys a game of squash, golf and water skiing.

Mercedes Thomas

Chief Stewardess

Mercedes was born in London, but new from an early age she wanted to see the world, and so the yachting world was a perfect career choice. Now with 20 years experience she brings extensive knowledge to our yacht to ensure our guests the perfect charter experience. From choosing the finest wines to working with the chef to create a culinary and dining experience not to be forgotten. Mercedes passions in life are animal rescue, hiking in the mountains with her dog and discovering new restaurants.

Megan Hunter

2nd Stewardess & Masseuse

Megan is from the beautiful Vancouver Island, where she grew up hiking and enjoys paddle boarding and yoga. She began her career as an aesthetician, which she loves, but decided to take a couple of years off to travel and chose yachting as her means. She is now in her third season in the yachting industry and loving it. Megans professionalism with the guests is outstanding as is her willingness to ensure our guests happiness. Daniel Loong

Deckhand

Daniel grew up in a vibrant surf community on the Gold Coast of Australia. He was extensively involved with the Humpback Whale Conservation programs in Australia, which led to his love and passion for the ocean. Now in his second season on yachts he is learning new skills daily, but with his already vast knowledge of boats and the ocean he is a very enjoyable and capable crew member to have around.
