Kyle Taylor

Kyle Taylor

Captain

Kyle began his sailing journey while attending university in Bellingham, Washington. He took his first steps into the professional world of yachting as a crew member aboard a schooner in the Mediterranean. Building his resume through various maritime roles, including working aboard ships in Tampa, Florida, Kyle pursued formal training at Sea School, where he obtained his 100-ton USCG Captain's license. He has since upgraded to a 200-ton license, further advancing his maritime qualifications. With over 10,000 nautical miles under his belt, Kyle has navigated the Mediterranean, Caribbean, South Pacific, North Pacific, and Atlantic. Initially focused on boat deliveries between the U.S. East Coast and the Caribbean, Kyle later transitioned into teaching, where he instructed sailing courses in the Caribbean. In recent years, he has dedicated his time to teaching ASA courses throughout the scenic San Juan Islands, blending his passion for the sea with a commitment to sharing his knowledge.
