Sail & Work Experience: Mike began sailing at the age of 14, participating in family trips from a young age. His charter career began in 1988, predominantly working on sailing yachts while completing 7 Atlantic crossings and 3 Indian Ocean passages through the years. Mike took some time out in Australia with his family to train as a chef but has since returned to his love of sailing aboard S/Y TIGA BELAS. Having cruised extensively in both Mediterranean and Caribbean waters, Mike will ensure your charter is an unforgettable one! Job Description: Mike is responsible for the navigation, safety, the overall running and financial management of the vessel, crew and guests. He ensures the safe and efficient operation of the yacht at all times, including compliance with all safety procedures and regulations. He takes care of adhering to flag regulations, port, state, and local laws and regulations, and manages the crew to ensure adherence to, and a full understanding of, the vessel’s policies.
