    Sailing and Work Experience: Nuno, a native of Lisbon, has always been passionate for the sea. From a young age, he was keen on water sports, winning the Portuguese Rowing Championships 5 times. Crazy for sports and very energetic, he joined the Portuguese Navy to become a Professional Scuba Diver. After leaving the Special Forces, he graduated from a Motorcycles Mechanics Institute, where he developed excellent skills and knowledge in engine maintenance and performance. With several years in the motorcycle racing circuit under his belt, Nuno never forgot his first love of the sea and spent the last 19 years sailing around the world. Job Description: Nuno is responsible for navigation, safety, the overall running and financial management of the vessel, crew and guests. He always ensures the safe and efficient operation of the yacht, including compliance with all safety procedures and regulations. He takes care of adhering to flag regulations, port state and local laws and regulations, and manages the crew to ensure adherence to, and a full understanding of, the vessel’s policies. He provides daily leadership for the crew and encourages teamwork, individual growth and personal attention by delegating duties and supervising all crew tasks. She worked onboard the same private sailing yacht for many years, before making the transition to stewardess/chef of WALLY ONE, a position she has successfully held for the last 8 years! Job Description: She oversees the galley and is responsible for guests and crew meals, assuring a rich variety of food. She estimates food needs, reviews inventory assuring adequate supplies are available, sticking to budget and guests’ expectations. She carries out food service activities to have meals prepared at scheduled times and makes sure to comply with health regulations, in addition she is responsible for organization, management and cleanliness of all interiors. She ensures the cleaning and preparation of the vessel to the highest standards prior to all guest trips. In charge of yacht provisioning for both guests and crew, and all aspects of daily life. When guests are onboard, she ensures they are properly cared for and that all their requirements are met.     Sail and Work Experience Kate is a seasoned First Mate and Skipper with over 20 years of sailing experience and more than 15,000 nautical miles logged. Growing up aboard a family-owned yacht, she developed a strong foundation in seamanship, navigation, and onboard operations. Her background spans ocean crossings, offshore deliveries, charter management, and technical maintenance. Recent roles include First Mate on the 74ft catamaran KAILUA, supporting navigation, safety, and crew coordination on Atlantic routes, and Captain of the 77ft schooner GEODNIA in the Baltic. She also served as a Skipper and Instructor with Akademia Jachtingu, running hands-on sailing courses for beginners and intermediates in both English and Polish. Job Description As First Mate, Kate is responsible for navigation, safety, and the day-to-day management of the yacht. She supports the captain with routing, communication, and planning, and supervises crew operations with a focus on technical precision and guest satisfaction. Kate ensures compliance with maritime regulations and safety procedures, and maintains onboard systems, equipment, and provisions to ensure smooth and sustainable operations.     Sail and Work Experience Keira is a capable and motivated Deckhand/Stewardess with over 15 years of sailing experience. Having already worked aboard WALLY ONE during the 2024 charter season, she is familiar with the yacht’s layout, standards, and rhythm. Her role included sail handling, anchoring, washdowns, varnishing, guest service, housekeeping, turndowns, and provisioning. She also gained experience on M/Y GFORCE and S/Y SEASCHA, supporting with deck operations and detailing. Keira brings a strong work ethic, a flexible mindset, and excellent people skills to every role on board. Job Description As Deckhand/Stewardess, Keira supports both exterior and interior operations to ensure smooth day-to-day running of the yacht. Her responsibilities include deck maintenance, sail handling, docking support, and tender operations. She also contributes to guest service with table setting, housekeeping, laundry, and turn-downs, while managing provisions and assisting with meal preparation. Her attention to detail and proactive attitude ensure a welcoming and well-maintained environment for both guests and crew.
