SUMMER LAUNCH PARTY

The 2021 Roche Harbor Summer Launch Party hosted by Worth Avenue Yachts in the San Juan Islands was a success. Welcoming in warmer weather and embracing our first inaugural client event in the Pacific Northwest, our team would like to send a thank you to all who attended.

Our opening night featured a spectacular sunset as we toasted Roy Estate Cabernet and welcomed our friends to this incredible venue. The following morning Chef Bill Shaw wowed our group with local fare and a hearty breakfast before the day’s activities began.

A special thank you goes out to Bottom’s Boat Diving for providing underwater inspections as well as S3 Maritime for complimentary service appointments. The first seminar by Fred Robinson Law Firm was well-delivered as Fred himself spoke about the new House Bill that recently passed allowing charter yachts in Washington State. Ryan Davis led us through a Safety at Sea Seminar followed Wine on the Water with Roy Estate. The evening ended with Chef Shaw hosting an oyster experience at Shipwreck Beach while our guests enjoyed live music and curated cocktails from some of our favorite brands including Ketel One, Johnnie Walker, Blade and Bow, Don Julio, Tanqueray, and Ron Zacapa.

Saturday was another full day of activities as the Chip and Sip kicked off the morning. Guests competed for some coveted prizes including special gifts provided by Hunts Yachts as they sipped Empress Gin cocktails and Lachini Wine. As each participant teed off to hit the floating green (and not the passing by yachts) the day heated up. Bhakta 50 representatives Jonathan and Mac guided us through a rare and exclusive Armagnac tasting before we started our Most Worthy Yacht Contest. The winners dressed their yacht in true 70’s style and received the coveted table at the grand dinner event. Our Charter Around the World Event featured cocktails and information about some of our top charter destinations all before Pavilion Happy Hour and Courtyard Dinner.

The weekend was full of laughs and memories along with good company and a picturesque setting. We can’t wait to start planning our next Roche Harbor Summer Launch Party and we hope you can make it!

Join the Worth Avenue Yachts team and reconnect with fellow yachters as we kickoff the weekend with a premier wine tasting provided by Roy Estate. Kathryn Reynolds, WSET Level 2, joins us from Roy Estate to guide us on a journey through her collection of varietals.

Roy Estate’s scenic 17-acre vineyard, a unique property blessed by its geography, topography, and terroir is situated immediately south of the renowned Stags Leap District at the cooler, southern end of the Napa Valley. Our gentle slopes nestled at the base of Atlas Peak are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. A creek divides the parcel roughly in half, producing two noticeably distinct sites on one small estate “akin to the Right Bank and the Left Bank in Bordeaux,” says winemaker Philippe Melka.
