Alexandra Groom

Charter Consultant

Alexandra grew up in Monaco and has been lucky enough to be involved in the yachting industry, both directly and indirectly, her whole life. Educated in Monaco and the UK, she grew up on boats and started her career in the industry as crew on the VIP yachts for Team New Zealand during the Louis Vuitton Trophy in Auckland in 2010. After, she spent six months as day crew on a variety of sailing boats for Auckland’s weekly regattas.

After leaving university, she became features editor at SuperYacht World in London. This involved traveling the world to interview some of the yachting industry’s most fascinating people, from owners and shipyard CEOs to designers and captains. She attended all the major and many of the minor yacht shows, reporting on new yachts, industry analysis and intelligence and publishing yacht reports.

After that she moved to Princess Yachts in the product development department and experienced first-hand the realities of life inside a busy and successful shipyard. Alexandra worked on the development of the yachts from concept to launch and everything in between. After Princess Yachts, Alexandra moved to a European-based brokerage firm, working in charter management and charter marketing.

Alexandra’s primary passion is yachting and everything it encompasses. Alexandra is very excited to be able to share what she has learnt over the years with Worth Avenue’s clients and ensure that, whatever their yachting background, their experience will be the best it can possibly be.
