Barbara Ringstad is well known in the industry, having spent most of her life working with discerning clients worldwide.

Barbara’s first job aboard a yacht was for Julie Andrews and Blake Edwards, cruising in British Columbia, which hooked her onto the world of mega yachts and private jets. Her financial beginnings as a licensed stock and commodity broker in Seattle and Europe, coupled with her extensive travel experiences worldwide, have prepared her for becoming a successful yacht charter broker.

Over the years, Barbara has lived and worked in different parts of the world, including Athens, Greece, Vancouver, BC, and the Netherlands, where she worked with the iconic 274′ Feadship, Savannah, during its build. She has worked aboard yachts as a trained chef, Chief Stewardess, and Interior Manager, ranging from 58′- over 200’, cruising various locations, from Alaska to Florida, the Caribbean, and crossing several times to the Mediterranean.

Barbara’s full-time smile and dedication to service are all attributes that have ensured her success, with repeat charter clients, and yacht crew that are always happy to work with her to create a fabulous experience for guests. Barbara and her husband, Ted McCumber, who is also well-known in the industry as the Managing Director of Feadship America, moved to Fort Lauderdale in 2016. She spent three years as a Charter Broker in South Florida before joining Worth Avenue Yachts.
