Dan Corcoran — Yacht Broker, Worth Avenue Yachts

Dan Corcoran’s maritime career began at age 15, washing boats at a marina in Spring Lake,
Michigan. By 18, he had earned his Captain’s license—laying the foundation for a career
spanning more than four decades in the marine industry. During summers, he captained yachts
while attending college during the rest of the year.

After graduating with a degree in Marketing Management, Dan relocated to Florida and began
captaining yachts full-time. In 2001, he upgraded his license and moved into running larger
yachts, eventually earning his Master 1600 GRT license—a credential he still holds today. His
professional captain experience included vessels ranging from 40’ to 151’. He also
demonstrated strong loyalty throughout his career by serving as captain for one family for more
than 20 years.

Over time, Dan accumulated extensive cruising experience throughout the U.S. East Coast, the
Great Loop, and the Bahamas. That time at the helm gave him firsthand knowledge of yacht
operations and maintenance; engineering oversight; crew management; cruising logistics; and
—most importantly—the practical considerations that determine whether a yacht is truly right
for its owner.

In 2007, Dan earned his yacht broker’s license. Since then, he has built a successful brokerage
career by combining operational expertise with an in-depth understanding of the yacht market.
His background as a captain provides perspective far beyond specifications or appearance—
he understands how yachts actually perform day-to-day for both owners and crews.

Today, Dan helps clients identify yachts that best match their cruising plans, lifestyle needs,
and ownership expectations. From machinery performance to layout suitability and amenities—
and including long-term operational considerations—his hands-on knowledge guides clients
through buying and selling with confidence.

With more than 40 years of maritime experience as both an accomplished yacht captain and
experienced yacht broker, Dan brings trusted insight to every transaction.
