Mark Osterhaven
Yacht Consultant
Growing up within a boating family in Holland, Michigan, Mark was introduced at an early age to the three local boat builders, the luxury yacht companies Broward Marine, Chris Craft & Tiara. During his high school and college summers, he worked in different capacities within the boating industry, for a selection of small luxury yacht companies, and upon completion of formal education, became a licensed captain. He spent the next 12 years as Captain aboard various yachts ranging from a charter sportfish in the Florida Keys to a large yacht requiring multiple crew.
In 2006 Mark began what has become a very successful career as a Yacht Broker; initially joining a well established brokerage company, Mark has drawn on his experience and knowledge to provide detailed, professional advice for his clients.
In 2013 Mark joined Worth Avenue Yachts, one of the world’s leading luxury yacht companies, focusing on super yacht sales & charter. He is excited for the many opportunities that lay ahead with a firm that has proven to be incredibly successful working as a team.
Outside of his obvious passion for the yachting business, Mark enjoys time on Staniel Cay, Bahamas, where he keeps busy as the Commodore of the Yacht Club. He is also passionate about Canine Assisted Therapy, and spends several hours a week visiting hospitals and nursing homes with his golden retriever, Maya. You can meet him each year at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show.
