    ABOUT TESORO YACHTS

The birth of a new brand of boats and a shipyard is becoming more and more unusual. The Tesoro T40 Cruiser is a special case, born from the hands of experienced and tenacious professionals. A model within what the market is currently asking for, which represents one of the best proposals in this segment.

Tesoro Yachts is brave and daring, but knows what it does. Its product, as stated by its founders, Juan Olivares and Andrés Martínez, is an easy boat, safe, comfortable, that does not require the least effort in any way, easy to maneuver and that takes care of ergonomic aspects both on the deck and indoors.

    TESORO T40

The T40 Cruiser is an amazing hull design that handles seas really well. The shipyard has opted for a classic hull, without "orthopedics", with clean and pure lines, with a clear bow and a V with good wave passage, and with excellent planing capacity. It is certainly not a racing car. Tesoro Yachts offers a boat of high comfort, with good navigation, safe and without complications. And so it has. As a Day Cruiser or Weekender style boat the T40 offers an awning at the bow and another at the stern that comes out of the hard top.

The T40 Cruiser raises a sundeck type deck, that is to say with the raised bow area, occupied by a solarium on the roof of the cabin. The elevated bow has a solarium occupying the entire roof of the cabin. It is a successful solution, since this space is complemented by the second aft solarium, which is extended by tilting the back of the dinette sofa forward. The main aft space is dedicated to the solarium, in communication with the dinette and a folding backrest with headrest. The two side steps with direct access to the hydraulic platforms (optional), which allow you to go from up and into the water and from one side to the other with ease. The main aft space is dedicated to the solarium, in communication with the dinette and a folding backrest with headrest. In addition, there is free space here to fully lift the two Mercury’s 450R Outboards without having to do anything. The propellers are out of the water with a simple press of the tilt button. The stern keeps the two platforms at the same level of the deck and allows the passage from one to the other in front of the engines.

The staircase, with pool-type railings, make it easy for people of any age to get up from the water. And the fresh water shower is not lacking. We like details such as the name embroidered on the upholstery, the stainless steel handrails on the sides of the sundeck, the stern night doors, or the large teak table with two folding wings that forms a phenomenal dinette in the center of the boat. Another highlight is the huge garage available under the aft sundeck, which is left free by having outboard motors.

As befits a day boat, the kitchen cabinet has been provided outside, along with the three individual seats for the pilot and two companions. A complete module, in front of the entrance door of the cabin, equips the necessary: gas stove, stainless steel sink and a refrigerator in the lower part.

A deck planning practically, therefore, impeccable in terms of distribution, with wide, high side steps, which guarantee total protection to the occupants and a dry cover. The stern chest is huge and compartmentalized and can hold good-sized gear.

Quality finishes contained design, without useless trifles or obviousness, where everything has its function, well thought out and to improve life on board.

The Tesoro T40 Cruiser impacts on its navigation and straight forward practicality, elegant and pleasant at first glance. The T40 is made to feel comfortable on board, to steer it with the best sensations of safety and comfort. The helm design meets the demands. The console is large and can accommodate two large Garmin 16” screens. The steering wheel in the center, footrest and a windshield that, within its aesthetic discretion, provides ample protection. The steering position is ideal for this boat both for its ergonomics and for the protection it offers to the pilot.

The bases of the folding seats allow you to stand or sit while maintaining full visibility. The electronic levers for the engines are well positioned and easy to operate. Sober, well thought out, ergonomic position that shows the common sense of the designers.

The Cullinan Carbon Fiber Hardtop with 6 glass sunroof area (optional) integrated to the hull providing no obstruction and clear passage through the side decks.

    INTERIORS

Another pleasant surprise. The quality of the carpentry, decoration and distribution enhance the value of this boat. Although the plant distributes what can be expected of a length of this type, on the other hand, it offers generous spaces that are well distributed and optimal for the cruise of a certain commitment. A cabin with a double bed, a separate full toilet and a second open cabin with two bunks arranged along the length, make up this second cabin. The double bed is complemented by a wardrobe and chests underneath. At mid-length the second cabin has two individual berths.

The shipyard has taken great care in indirect lighting, carpentry and well-distributed spaces for stowage. The entire cabin has a good height and the overhead hatch contributes to natural lighting and ventilation.

Interiors are ideal to complement the daycruiser and weekender program, and that reinforce the possibilities of use of the pregnancy, with a decoration of good taste, elegant and without the least extra charge.

    NAVIGATION AND CONCLUSIONS

The addition of grip points, improvements in various details, finishes and, above all, a higher quality construction, with the incorporation of reinforcement on the sides with sandwich, but reducing the total weight of the boat by almost a ton thanks to the application of the resin in vacuum infusion. Greater rigidity and lightness. With two Mercury 450 HP, with fairly good sea and wind conditions the T40 is able to reach 45 knots of top speed. To maintain a good cruising regime, 35 knots and 4,350 rpm are enough of a sweet spot.

Planing time is an impressive 4 seconds; and the lift offered by this hull remains planing at 13 knots, or almost below this speed. It is an evolved V hull with good support in the stern, wide in its rear sleeve. A design that belongs entirely to the shipyard, with the naval architecture signed by Julio Galiana.
