Benetti Sail Division, an independent luxury yacht builder situated in Viareggio, Italy, harnesses the essence of Italian craftsmanship to create oceangoing steel and aluminum motor yachts stretching up to 50 meters in length.

History:

Riccardo Benetti, who embarked on his career at Fratelli Benetti, his family’s shipyard, imbibed the art of crafting luxury yachts under the tutelage of his father and grandfather. Eventually, he established his own unit within the company, known as Benetti Sail Division. By 1981, Benetti Sail Division transitioned into an autonomous entity, distinct from the Benetti shipyard, which later became part of the Azimut luxury yacht-building group.

Under the continued leadership of Riccardo Benetti, Benetti Sail Division (BSD) remains committed to constructing safe, long-range luxury yachts capable of navigating diverse sea conditions worldwide. BSD offers a diverse range of semi-custom yachts and superyachts, including the Classic range spanning from 25 to 41 meters, the World Traveller range ranging from 24 to 41 feet, and the innovative LX Emotion range spanning from 30.5 to 48.8 meters. Additionally, BSD presents the Special Edition range, offering bespoke superyachts tailored to individual preferences.

Notable Yachts:

In 2013, BSD delivered the remarkable 30.2-meter superyacht Aleica, boasting a steel-and-aluminum tri-deck motor yacht configuration with an impressive range of 4,900 nautical miles at 10 knots. Despite its semi-custom, four-stateroom layout, the shipyard accommodated the owner’s request by incorporating a fifth cabin.

BSD unveiled Blue Berry, a 31-meter superyacht featuring a retro canoe stern, in 2014. Designed in collaboration with Massimo and Verme, the full displacement motor yacht’s naval architecture was entrusted to CLM, showcasing BSD’s commitment to innovative design and engineering.
